Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird Essay -- Harper Lee Kill Mockingbir

Harper Lees To charge a MockingbirdTo Kill a Mocking Bird by Harper Lee was create in 1960 and wasadapted into a receive by Christopher Sergal and published in 1980. Ittells the story of a court grimace when a drab military man gets accused ofraping a w tot upe woman. The black man, tom turkey Robinson is defended by the alawyer called genus Atticus Finch. Atticus is one of the few citizenry inMaycome who have a bit of money an can read and pen very well. Theinevitable outcome of the case was that the Black man was sentenced todeath. The play is set in 1935 during the Great Depression and in times of beggary and Unemploy custodyt. Maycome is a rural farming community and theGreat Depression has hit them hard. The law is very unfair to Blacksbecause they issue different sentences to etiolate commonwealth then to Blackpeople. For sheath in a court case that court would be made up of allwhite men. The community is divided as well because all Black servicesargon separate from White services. E.G. Education, money, churches, funerals, graveyards, medical services. However poor a White personis, a Black person would always be overthrow than the poor white person inthe social scale. In the enigmatical South a man was expected to do manlyjobs akin Hunting, Carpentry, Farrier and a Blacksmith. Atticus isseamed to different than the otherwise men because he is a lawyer andreads books, unlike most of the other men who do the jobs describedabove. The Deep South came to be like this because of the thralldom Whitepeople enforced on the Blacks. In 1619 the first black people werebrought to America and then in 1661, Virginia legalised slavery, alongwith lots of other Deep South states. 35-40 million Blacks werebrought to be slaves over 300 years, o... ...up, lettered what Atticus has proved and said damn you ta... becauseand every one else knows that it was wharfage who hit Mayella because he isleft handed. To prove this even more Atticus reminds the court th atBob signed that piece of paper with his left and that Tom took hisoath with his only good hand - his right. The next part of Atticussumming up says about the views of the people in the Deep South, saying about people dealing that all Negroes are bad and all Negroeslie only when they all dont and all races lie and are bad sometimes and nonjust the blacks. To kill a mockingbird is a prime example of what life was likeduring the Great Depression in the Deep South, replete of discriminationand social scales determining what people were like and how they wouldact. I think the story is a very good because of how it describes lifeduring that period.
